While ‘Bigg Boss 7’ worked a treat for Colors in the UK ratings, fictions have not performed as well since the channel went free-to-air last year…until now!

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ on Colors delivered the biggest ever ratings for a fiction show since Colors went free-to-air last September. Fictions have been hovering around an average 20,000 – 30,000 viewers per day, however, last night’s episode of ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ at 19:30 pulled in 60,500 viewers – peaking at 66,900 viewers. ‘Madhubala’ also did better with 38,700 viewers at 20:30. ‘Balika Vadhu’ at 20:00 brought in 25,400 viewers and new drama ‘Rangrasiya’ got 21,500 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, which completes five years on-air this weekend, pulled in 219,400 viewers – the most watched Asian show in the UK last night. It was followed by ‘Saathiya’ with 209,300 viewers and ‘SaraswatiChandra’ in third with 205,500 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Gustakh Dil’ was the leading show with 26,500 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ delivered a high of 133,100 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Parichay’ with an impressive 128,600 viewers and ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ with 61,100 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Trendsetters’ at 19:00 was the most watched show with 29,200 viewers, ‘Bollywood Life’ at 18:00 with 28,100 viewers and ‘Bollywood Business’ at 18:30 with 23,600 viewers.

On Lamhe, ‘Kasamh Se’ at 19:00 was the most watched show with 25,500 viewers.
