Overnights: ‘SaraswatiChandra’ zooms to top spot

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali show ‘SaraswatiChandra’ has rocketed its way back to the top spot in the UK ratings last night, with another brilliant performance at 19:30.

‘SaraswatiChandra’ pulled in 266,700 viewers – peaking at 302,100 viewers – one of the best ratings for the show. In second place was ‘MasterChef India’ with 249,400 viewers. In third was ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’, which continued with its strong performance with 189,400 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (183,700), ‘Saathiya’ (171,800), ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (165,100), ‘Veera’ (164,800) and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (112,000).

On Rishtey, ‘Jeevan Saathi’ at 20:00 was the leader with 90,200 viewers, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ was next with 65,700 – same as ‘Bairi Piya’ at 20:30.

The third match of the Indian Premier League on ITV4 attracted 203,900 viewers between 15:00 and 19:30 – peaking at 367,200.

On Zing, ‘Rock The Vibe’ at 19:30 pulled in 5,000 viewers. ‘Cloud 9’ at 18:30 and 22:30 rated zero.
