Overnights: ‘SaraswatiChandra’ tops Friday ratings

The recent declaration of love between the two characters in ‘SaraswatiChandra’ has helped push the drama to the top of the UK TV ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

Last night, ‘SaraswatiChandra’ pulled in 200,100 viewers – peaking at 224,400 viewers. In second place was ‘MasterChef India’ with 175,900 viewers, followed by ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 134,700 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Saathiya’ (132,500), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (119,000), ‘Veera’ (116,300), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (108,900), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (105,400) and ‘Ek Ghar Banuanga’ (47,100).

On Rishtey, ‘Jeevan Saathi’ ruled the ratings on the channel with 119,900 viewers and ‘Bairi Piya’ in second with 110,400 viewers, followed by ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ with 108,300 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Amrit Manthan’ at 19:30 got 29,000 viewers, ‘Savdhaan India’ was in second with 28,000, followed by ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’, which was next with 15,000 viewers.

On ITV4, the Indian Premier League matches yesterday drew 129,200 viewers – peaking at 359,300 viewers.

On Sony SAB, ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ was on top with 96,600 viewers, followed by ‘Chidigyaghar’, which pulled in 78,100 viewers and ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ with 64,100 viewers.
