Overnights: ‘SaraswatiChandra’ takes back lead

Star Plus’ hugely popular ‘SaraswatiChandra’ regained the lead last night in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The romantic drama pulled in 204,000 viewers at 19:30 – peaking at 269,400 viewers, followed by ‘MasterChef India’ with 188,800 viewers at 20:00 and ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 174,300 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Saathiya’ (152,400), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (152,200), ‘Veera’ (133,300), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (106,800), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (94,900) and ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (74,200).

On Rishtey, ‘Bairi Piya’ got the biggest ever ratings for the channel with 153,000 viewers at 20:30 – beating Star Plus in that time slot. Further good news, the channel also beat market leader Star Plus at 21:00 with ‘Na Aana Is Desh Laado’, which got 118,100 viewers. In third place was ‘Jeevan Saathi’ with 98,400 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 pulled in 40,900 viewers, followed by ‘Amrit Manthan’ with 30,900 viewers. New show ‘Do Dil Ek Jaan’ got just under 1,000 viewers at 21:00.

On Zing, ‘World Of Bollywood’ was the biggest ratings winner with 38,700 viewers, followed by ‘Cloud 9’ at 18:30, which got 14,500 viewers (22:30 repeated rated zero).

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ was on top of ratings again with 48,900 viewers, followed by ‘BaalVeer’ next with 31,000 viewers.
