Star Plus’ ‘SaraswatiChandra’ has maintained its lead in viewing data for weekday ratings, according to exclusive figures obtained by BizAsia.

The 19:30 drama was easily the most watched Asian show in the UK with 201,600 viewers – peaking at 228,500 viewers. In second place was ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 160,000 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Bhabhi’ with 157,900 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (157,600), ‘Saathiya’ (151,900), ‘Mahabharat’ (123,600), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (101,800), ‘Veera’ (91,300), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (72,200) and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2’ (71,000).

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 7’ was the biggest reality TV show last night with 84,300 viewers at 21:00 – peaking at 125,000 viewers. In second place was ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ at 19:30 with 30,600 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ repeat at 18:30 with 20,900 viewers.

On sister channel, Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ continued to stay on top with an impressive 103,100 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ next with 102,800 viewers and ‘Parichay’ in third with 66,700 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was top with 48,300 viewers, followed by ‘Ek Boond Ishq’ with 25,200 viewers and ‘Mahadev’ next with 17,800 viewers. ‘Savitri’ was next with 17,000 viewers and ‘Geet’ (re-run) with 16,700 viewers. Re-run of ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ (re-run) in Hindi got 6,000 viewers, while 200 viewers tuned in at 18:00 for the English dubbed.
