The popular drama ‘SaraswatiChandra’ is proving a major hit for Star Plus amongst UK viewers after it claimed the number one position again in the ratings.

The drama, which airs at 19:30 weekdays on Star Plus pulled in a huge 260,000 – peaking at 306,000 – one of the biggest ever audiences for the show. Closely behind was ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with a very impressive 259,800 viewers at 22:00. In third was ‘Veera’ with 217,600 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (212,600), ‘Saathiya’ (206,800), ‘MasterChef India’ (206,500), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (192,800) and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (127,900).

The latest Indian Premier League match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkotta Knight Riders attracted an average audience of 252,500 viewers – peaking at 585,300 viewers. The telecast was between 15:00 and 19:30 on ITV4.

On Rishtey, ‘Jeevan Saathi’ continued to lead at 20:00 with 79,200 viewers. ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ has climbed up the ratings chart with an impressive 67,600 viewers. In third was ‘Bairi Piya’ with 60,400 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Junoon’ at 21:30 topped the channel’s ratings with 37,300 viewers, followed by ‘2613’ repeat at 23:30 with 35,600 viewers and ‘Savitri’ at 20:30 with 23,500 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Cloud 9’ at 18:30 and 22:30 attracted just under 1,000 viewers each.
