'SaraswatiChandra' makes magical start on Star Plus

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘SaraswatiChandra’ has proved to be a huge hit with UK viewers, with latest data showing the drama remaining on top of UK ratings for the third consecutive night.

‘SaraswatiChandra’, which airs at 19:30 weeknights pulled in 214,400 – peaking at 259,800 viewers. It was closely followed by ‘Saathiya’ with 211,700 viewers. ‘MasterChef India’ continued its good form with 204,000 viewers.

‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ and ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ were next with 144,800 and 144,300 viewers respectively. ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was in fifth with 125,500. ‘Veera’, which is celebrating 100 episodes, followed with 110,600 and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ was placed last with 93,000.

Over on Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ won the ratings battle on the channel with 41,000 viewers at 22:30, followed by ‘Junoon’ with 30,600 viewers and ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ with 16,300 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ was the most watched show on the channel during primetime with 25,200 viewers tuning in at 21:00. ‘Bairi Piya’ and ‘Jeevan Saathi’ followed with 16,000 each.

On Zing, ‘Ten On Ten’ at 10:30 was the most watched show with 28,700 viewers, followed by ‘World Of Bollywood’ at 10:00 with 28,000 viewers. ‘Cloud 9’ rated zero at 18:30 but attracted just under 1,000 viewers at 22:30.
