Overnights: Salman boosts ‘Jhalak’ Sunday ratings

Salman Khan’s special appearance on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ gave the show its biggest ratings so far in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The show, which has been struggling this season, saw Khan promoting his next production ‘Hero’ with Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. It pulled in 32,500 viewers at 21:00 last night – making it the most watched show on UK Asian television beating Star Plus. ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ at 22:30 was watched by 24,500 viewers at 22:30 and ‘The Anupam Kher Show’ at 20:00 with 18,100 viewers. ‘Desi Beat’ at 19:30 attracted 3,500 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Gulmohar Grand’ at 22:00 topped ratings with 19,400 viewers, followed by ‘Dance +’ at 20:00 with 16,700 viewers.

On &TV, ‘The Voice India’ led with 5,400 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun’ at 19:00 with 2,000 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Yahan Pyar Nahi Hai’ at 21:00 took lead with 31,800 viewers and ‘Kaise Tum Se Kahoon’ at 20:00 with 9,800 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Ten On Ten’ at 18:00 was most watched with 22,600 viewers, followed by ‘Harry Met Sally’ at 19:00 with 18,500 viewers and ‘Snack Attack’ at 18:30 with 17,800 viewers. New series of ‘Look Who Is Talking’ featuring Varun Dhawan opened with 14,700 viewers, while new programme ‘The Film Show’ at 20:00 was watched by 2,800 viewers.
