Overnights: ‘Saathiya’ returns to top in UK

'Saathiya' doing well for Star Plus

‘Saathiya’ toppled ‘SaraswatiChandra’ in the UK ratings last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The Star Plus shows continued to play musical chairs with the top slot with ‘Saathiya’ claiming victory in the latest figures. The 19:00 drama pulled in 172,000 viewers, followed by ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 166,000 viewers and ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 142,800 viewers in third.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Veera’ (135,000), ‘Meri Bhabhi’ (114,900), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (98,200), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (78,500), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (73,100) and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (47,700).

On Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ continued to lead the channel’s ratings with 73,300 viewers, followed by ‘Jeevan Saathi’ with 71,600 viewers and ‘Bigg Boss’ (season 4 re-run) with 61,000 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was on top with 29,300 viewers, followed by the Hindi edition of ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ at 14:00 with 22,800 viewers and the English version fetching 13,800 viewers at 18:00.

On Zing, ‘Bollywood Now’ at 17:00 got the highest viewership with 6,500 viewers, followed by ‘Soul Music’ at 17:30 with 3,700 viewers and ‘Bollywood Life’ in third with 3,500 viewers. New show ‘Grinds My Teeth’ rated zero.
