Star Plus’ long running drama ‘Saathiya’ has bounced back to the top of the UK Asian TV ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.

‘Saathiya’ was the most watched Asian drama on British television yesterday. It picked up 162,600 viewers, whilst ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was just a few hundred behind with 162,200 viewers at 20:30. It peaked to 179,200 viewers during the course of the show.

In third place was ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 144,700 viewers in the 21:00 slot. ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ was next with 142,500 viewers at 19:30. The others were ‘Veera’ with 136,200 and ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara’ with 130,500. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ managed to pulled 119,300 and ‘Kaali Ek PunarAvtar’ was last with 115,200.

On Rishtey, ‘Jeevan Saathi’ at 20:00 was the most watched on the channel with 67,700 viewers. ‘Durgaa’ at 19:30 was in second with 34,500, followed by ‘Swarg’ at 18:30 was watched by 33,000.

On Zing, ‘World Of Bollywood’ at 18:00 was the channel’s most watched with 9,600 viewers. ‘Cloud 9’ struggled with a zero rating at 10:30, 16:30 and 22:30. Only the original of the locally produced drama got just under an average 1,000 viewers, peaking to nearly 5,000 viewers.

Sony SAB TV’s ‘Baal Veer’ at 20:00 was watched by 23,800 viewers. The successful ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ repeat at 19:00 was second most watched on the channel with 22,400 viewers. The original at 21:30 was third watched with 20,700 viewers.
