'Saathiya' tops last night's ratings

‘Saathiya’ was the most watched show on UK Asian television last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

‘Saathiya’ on Star Plus brought in 218,100 viewers – peaking at 280,200 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 214,800 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Rangrasiya’ at 21:30 was the most watched show on the channel with 50,600 viewers, followed by ‘Uttaran’ with 39,600 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ was top with 82,100 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ with 68,100 viewers and ‘Parichay’ in third with 66,100 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was in pole position with 42,400 viewers and ‘Gustakh Dil’ with 24,300 viewers was in second place.

On Zing, ‘Bollywood Families’ at 17:00 beat all other shows in the same slot on UK Asian television. It pulled in 46,800 viewers. Market leader, Star Plus in the same slot with ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ got 28,500 viewers.

On Sky 1, the new series of ‘The Kumars’ at 21:00 was the most watched show on the channel. It pulled in 370,700 viewers – lower than 2 million viewers it attracted when it bowed out on the BBC in 2006.
