Overnights: Rivals claw into Star Plus’ ratings on Wednesday

Star Plus suffered a significant decline in its share on Wednesday as rival channels threatened its dominant position, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Star Plus’ share dropped to a weekday low of 0.12%, followed by a re-surgent ZEE TV with a share of 0.07%, Colors and Hum TV with 0.05%, Sony Entertainment Television, Star Bharat and Geo TV with 0.04% and Hum Masala with 0.03%.

Star Plus’ ‘Chakravyuh’ was the biggest show on the channel with 61,100 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 56,700 viewers and ‘Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara’ at 22:00 with 32,200 viewers.

ZEE TV moved up to No.2 with ‘Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey’ leading with 18,000 viewers, followed by ‘Khana Khazana’ at 12:00 with 16,700 viewers and ‘Aisi Deewangi’ at 11:30 with 16,600 viewers.

Colors got its biggest share since ‘Bigg Boss 11’ ended. Its top shows on Wednesday were ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with a record 50,700 viewers, followed by ‘Belan Wali Bahu’ at 21:00 with 41,600 viewers and ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ at 21:30 with 33,200 viewers.

Hum TV slipped behind rivals with ‘Naseebon Jali’ performing well. It attracted 51,800 viewers in its 19:00 slot, followed by ‘Mere Meherbaan’ at 21:00 with 29,000 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television was also up with ‘Super Dancer’ repeat at 18:30 pulling in 31,100 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:30 with 20,800 viewers.

Geo TV’s ‘Dhaani’ was top with 10,700 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Mubarak Ho Rishta Hai Naya’ at 23:00, ‘Ghutan’ at 23:30, ‘Hari Hari Churiyan’ at 00:00 with 10,400 viewers.
