Overnights: ‘Rising Star 2’ leads reality TV shows on Saturday in UK

Star Plus continued to feel the wrath of rival TV channels, with reality TV show ‘Rising Star 2′ on Colors proving more popular than Star Plus’ ‘India’s Next Superstars’ on Saturday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Even though Star Plus remained the market leader with a share of 0.11%, ‘India’s Next Superstars’ at 20:00 could only manage 8,300 viewers. However, its fictions topped UK ratings with ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ leading the chart with 69,900 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 68,000 viewers.

Colors was in second place with a share of 0.06%. Its top show was reality programme ‘Rising Star 2’ with 46,900 viewers at 21:00. ‘Desi Beat’ at 19:30 was watched by 11,400 viewers.

Sony Entertainment Television’s reality show ‘Super Dancer 2’ also did well with 26,600 viewers at 20:00. ZEE TV’s ‘DID – Lil Champs’ at 20:00 was watched by 23,900 viewers at 20:00. The share of both channels stood at 0.03%.

‘High Fever’ on &TV launched with just 1,000 viewers, however, the channel’s overall share was at 0.04% owing to the success of film ‘Bewafa’ at 16:30 with 15,300 viewers.

Movie channels Star Gold and ZEE Cinema also performed well with share of 0.06% each. The 90s film ‘Bade Ghar Ki Beti’ at 08:45 was Star Gold’s biggest film with 22,200 viewers, while ‘Taare Zameen Par’ at 18:00 on ZEE Cinema pulled in 14,700 viewers.
