Rishtey’s hit show ‘Jeevan Saathi’ has broken all previous records by becoming the first fiction on the channel to cross the 100,000 viewers mark last night.
According to exclusive data obtained BizAsia, ‘Jeevan Saathi’, which airs at 20:00 attracted an overwhelming 102,600 viewers yesterday – peaking at 129,500. Films and events have regularly attracted over 100,000 viewers for the channel but ‘Jeevan Saathi’ is the first on Rishtey, which has got such a huge audience.
The other record breaker on the channel was ‘Bairi Piya’, which too got the highest ever viewership with 92,800 viewers switching on at 20:30. ‘Na Aana Is Desh Laado’ at 21:00 was in third with a decent enough 60,800 viewers.
On market leader, Star Plus, it was ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, which snatched back the numero uno slot back with 151,200 viewers last night. In second was ‘Veera’, which bounced back with 149,400 viewers. In third was ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 144,800 viewers. In fourth was ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ with 136,000 viewers. Rounding off the top five was ‘Kaali Ek PunarAvtar’ at 20:00 with 127,300 viewers.
‘SaraswatiChandra’ dropped back down the pecking order losing over 100,00 viewers from the night before by attracting just 112,800 viewers. ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was next with 110,800 and ‘Saathiya’ was last with 105,300 viewers.
On Star Life Ok, ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ was most watched yesterday with 39,400 viewers, followed by ‘Junoon’ at 21:30 with 33,300 viewers and ‘2612’ in third with 20,100 viewers.
On Zing, local production ‘Cloud 9’ at 18:30 attracted 1,200 viewers, however the 22:30 episode rated zero. The repeat telecast of ‘Trendsetters’ at 10:30 was the most watched show yesterday with 15,800 viewers.
