'Special 26' proves successful for Rishtey UK

Rishtey was the biggest ratings puller over the weekend in the UK, according to latest data obtained exclusively by BizAsia.

The Pakistani drama ‘Mera Naseeb’ proved a huge success with 32,400 viewers on Saturday but an enormous 109,400 viewers tuning in on Sunday at 20:30.

The channel’s movie premiere of ‘Special 26’ starring Akshay Kumar, also pushed the channel up with 75,900 viewers switching on at 17:30.

The reality TV show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ (re-run from last year) got an average 74,500 viewers on Saturday and a further 82,300 viewers on Sunday.

On Star Plus, ‘India’s Dancing Superstar’ was the biggest ratings puller but slightly lower than in recent weeks. On Saturday, the show pulled in 90,900 viewers at 21:00 and then a further 77,000 viewers logged on for the Sunday night episode. The Saturday night spin-off show ‘Xtra Beats’ raked in just 3,700 viewers at 22:30.

‘Arjun’ on Saturday got 68,000 viewers and 56,700 viewers on Sunday.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ led the ratings on Saturday with 22,100 viewers at 22:00 and same on Sunday with 11,500 viewers. ‘Shapath’ on Saturday got 2,200 viewers but reprieved on Sunday with 17,300 viewers. New show ‘Police Dial 100’ got 4,600 viewers on Saturday night at 23:00.

On Zing, new locally produced show ‘Grinds My Teeth’ at 17:30 on Sunday got 2,300 viewers – peaking at 4,600 viewers. The ‘Fanography’ show that followed at 17:45 got 2,500 viewers – peaking at 7,600 viewers. ‘ZEE Multiplex’ at 16:30 did well with 26,700 viewers, however it was ‘Trendsetters’ at 17:00 that led the ratings with 28,500 viewers.
