Overnights: Rishtey tops Sunday night UK ratings

In a rare achievement for Rishtey, the channel beat competition on sister channel Colors and rival, Star Plus to come up as top Asian channel in the UK on Sunday night.

The discussion show ‘Aamna Saamna’ continued to surprise with another successful night of ratings. The show, which airs weekends at 21:30 – 22:30, pulled in 61,000 viewers – making it the most watched show in the UK (Asian television) last night. The show peaked at 80,800 viewers. The Pakistani drama ‘Aasmano Pe Likha Hai’ at 20:30 brought in 45,500 viewers to the channel.

On Colors, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ was the top show with 59,300 viewers – peaking at 108,700 viewers, followed by ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ with 45,100 viewers and ‘Mission Sapne’ at 20:00 drawing in 27,800 viewers.

On Star Plus, the ‘Star Parivaar Awards 2014 Preview Show’ at 19:00 pulled in 21,600 viewers, while the repeat of ‘IIFA 2014’ grabbed 33,900 viewers at 21:00.
