Free-to-air entertainment channel, Rishtey from the Viacom 18 stable, witnessed a ratings surge last night, according to exclusive UK viewing data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.

Surprisingly ‘Swarg’, which airs at 18:30 beat Star Plus’ repeat of ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’. The Rishtey drama pulled in 55,900 – one of the best figures for the show. ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ repeat at 18:30 mustered in 33,700.

The most watched show on Rishtey yesterday was ‘Jaane Kya Baat Hui’ at 19:00 with a record 71,200 for the show. ‘Bairi Piya’ at 20:30 also did well with 62,400. ‘Jeevan Saathi’ at 20:00 got 48,800 viewers tuning in.

On Star Plus, ‘Saathiya’ remained the most watched Asian TV show in the UK with 192,600 – peaking at 220,600. The 22:00 hit drama ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’ was in second place with 164,400 viewers. Then came, ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’, which has been doing well recently for the channel. It garnered 153,200 at 19:30. ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ managed to get 143,100 at 21:00. ‘Veera’ at 22:30 did well too with an audience of 131,700. ‘Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was next with 128,400. ‘Kaali Ek PunarAvtar’, which airs at 20:00 delivered 117,700. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ remained at the bottom with 113,000 – up from last few days.

Star Life Ok’s ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 was the most watched show on the channel with 32,700. New show ‘Welcome’ at 22:00 pulled in 24,000 – lower than previous nights. ‘Junoon’ at 21:30 delivered 21,400 viewers.

On Zing, the ever dependable ‘World Of Bollywood’ grabbed 7,100 viewers at 18:00. ‘Cloud 9’ proved to be a no-go with a zero ratings in all four of its episodes yesterday.
