'Mera Naseeb' proves ratings winner for Rishtey

While Star Plus slipped in the ratings last night, it was Rishtey’s turn to take its place in unofficial overnight ratings obtained exclusively by BizAsia.

This weekend generally has been a ratings winner for Rishtey with its events and reality TV shows outperforming its rivals. Looking over the ratings, the repeat telecast of ‘Dabangg’ at 16:00 got 16,700 viewers. The Indian Telly Awards, which were telecast at 18:30 over two hours averaged at 72,400 viewers. Pakistani drama ‘Mera Naseeb’ got the biggest audience since its launch three weeks ago. It pulled in 80,700 viewers – making it the most watched show on UK Asian TV yesterday. ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ at 21:30 attracted 60,600 viewers. The channel’s share averaged at 35% between 19:00 – 23:00.

On Star Plus, ‘Arjun’ was the most watched show with 56,200 viewers, followed by ‘India’s Dancing Superstar’, which slid to a new low with just 55,900 viewers. The channel’s share during this period was averaged at 26%.

On BBC Three, the Indian adaptation of French opera ‘Bollywood Carmen’ starring Abhay Deol and Preeya Kalidas mustered in 582,400 viewers at 21:00 – peaking at 650,600 viewers.
