Overnights: Republic Bharat amongst top in news genre on Tuesday in UK

Republic Bharat continued its good run in UK ratings on Tuesday, by sharing the top spot with other Indian news channels, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Republic Bharat, as well as NDTV 24×7 and ABP News all delivered a share of 0.03%. Surprisingly, Aaj Tak could manage a share of 0.01% and News18 with a zero share.

Republic Bharat has been performing much better during the lockdown period, with its rolling news coverage from India. The channel has delivered its biggest weekly reach and share figures in recent days. On Tuesday, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on the lockdown measures, gave a ratings boost to most Indian news channels.

Republic Bharat’s top programming was between 18:00 – 00:00, with an average audience of 7,000 viewers. Its audience peaked to 20,100 viewers at around 20:30. A further peak at 22:30 gave the channel an audience of 18,900 viewers.

Incidentally, Republic Bharat was also the leading Indian news channel on Monday this week with a share of 0.02%.
