Overnights: Reema Lagoo’s death gives ‘Naamkarann’ ratings boost

The demise of popular Bollywood and television actress, Reema Lagoo has given a lift to ‘Naamkarann’ ratings in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Together with the ongoing high-end action in the show and the last few glimpses of Lagoo in ‘Naamkarann’ made it the most watched show in the UK on Thursday night. The show attracted 120,600 viewers at 21:00. Lagoo passed away after a cardiac arrest on Wednesday night, with news being revealed on Thursday morning.

It was followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 95,000 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 94,100 viewers. Earlier in the day, ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 13:00 pulled in 35,900 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Durga’ at 12:30 with 32,300 viewers and ‘Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee’ at 13:30 with 26,800 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Udann’ led with 16,100 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ at 21:00 with 11,900 viewers and ‘Devanshi’ at 19:00 and ‘Swabhimaan’ at 21:30 both with 7,300 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ fetched 21,700 viewers at 18:30, followed by ‘Main Teri Parchai Hoon’ at 22:30 with 18,700 viewers and ‘Bhaag Bakool Bhaag’ at 22:00 with 12,000 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Gangaa’ attracted 22,000 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Waaris’ at 18:30 with 10,700 viewers and ‘Agnifera’ at 19:00 with 6,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Phir Wohi Mohabbat’ at 20:00 fetched 57,600 viewers, followed by ‘Jithani’ at 19:30 with 49,300 viewers and ‘Aisay Jalay Jiya’ at 21:00 with 45,000 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Tishnagi Dil Ki’ at 21:00 delivered 14,000 viewers, followed by ‘Manchahi’ at 20:00 with 8,400 viewers and ‘Meri Saheli Meri Bhabhi’ at 19:30 with 6,400 viewers.

On New Vision TV, ‘Off The Record With Kashif Abbasi’ at 22:00 pulled in 24,200 viewers.
