Record high ratings for 'SaraswatiChandra' in UK

Star Plus must be celebrating this morning after two of its shows ‘MasterChef India’ and ‘SaraswatiChandra’ brought in record viewership to the channel last night.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘MasterChef India’ was on top with a huge 308,900 viewers at 20:00 – peaking at a massive 363,600 viewers. This was followed by ‘SaraswatiChandra’ at 19:30 with a record high 304,500 viewers – peaking even higher to 369,800 viewers. All in all, it was a record night for Star Plus after ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ pushed into third place with 238,600 viewers – the biggest audience for the show in recent months.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (226,800), ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (220,700), ‘Saathiya’ (210,300), ‘Veera’ (153,800), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (150,200) and ‘Ek Ghar Banuanga’ (78,700).

On Rishtey, ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ led the ratings with 104,800 viewers, followed by ‘Bairi Piya’, which got 87,500 viewers and ‘Jeevan Saathi’ was in third with 66,500.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was the biggest ratings winner with 65,000 viewers, followed by ‘2613’ with 54,700 viewers and ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ next with 49,300 viewers.

On ITV4, the Indian Premier League matches yesterday pulled in 189,500 viewers – peaking at 354,300 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Cloud 9’ pulled in 10,000 viewers at 22:30.
