Overnights: ‘Ra One’ premiere propels UMP Movies

The premiere of blockbuster sci-fi drama, ‘Ra One’ (2011) on UMP Movies on the night of Christmas Day gave the channel a huge boost.

The film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor was premiered for the first time on free-to-air television, prior to this, it had only been aired on premium channels.

Between the telecast of 21:00 and midnight, ‘Ra One’ got an audience of 42,500 – peaking at 70,000 during the course of the movie. Its audience share was 0.19 per cent – peaking at 0.44 per cent.
