Overnights: ‘R…Rajkumar’ tops Sunday in UK
The UK TV premiere of Bollywood blockbuster ‘R…Rajkumar’ was the biggest ratings success on UK Asian telly last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.
The action comedy starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha aired between 18:00 and 21:00 and pulled in 109,000 viewers – peaking at a huge 216,800 viewers. It was a generally a good night for the channel with ‘India’s Got Talent’ at 21:00 doing well too with 89,000 viewers, followed by ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ featuring Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan with 67,400 viewers.
On Star Plus, the new comedy show ‘Mad In India’ featuring Sunil Grover launched with 104,000 viewers at 21:00 – peaking at 132,400 viewers. ‘Koffee With Karan’ which had Anushka Sharma as the special guest did well too with 97,800 viewers at 19:00. The penultimate episode of ‘Arjun’ raked in 87,500 viewers. New thriller ‘Ishq Kills’ at 22:00 opened up to 39,200 viewers at 22:00.
On Rishtey, the discussion show ‘Aamne Saamne’ suprised many with one of the biggest audiences ever with 72,200 viewers tuning in – peaking at 96,500 viewers.
On Zing, ‘Bollywood Families’ was top show with 28,500 viewers at 16:30, followed by ‘Trendsetters’ at 17:00 with 21,500 viewers.
On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was top show at 22:00 with 29,500 viewers tuning in.
