'Pyar Ka Dard Hai...' tops UK ratings

Star Plus’ hit show ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’ shot up in the UK ratings last night, according to exclusive viewing data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.

The popular drama attracted 248,400 at 22:00 – one of the biggest audiences in weeks for the show. It peaked further to an impressive 286,000. The show has been on a high recently with a twist in the romantic track between lead characters Aditya and Phankuri.

Other positive news for the channel, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 last night got 221,200 – peaking at 264,800 viewers. ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ was in third with 177,100 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 169,800. The others were ‘Veera’ with 168,900, ‘Saathiya’ (159,100), ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ (153,100) and ‘Kaali Ek Punaravtar’ at the bottom with 148,100.

On Rishtey, ‘Jaane Kya Baat Hui’ led the way with 62,300, followed by ‘Jeevan Saathi’ at 20:00 with 41,600 and ‘Bairi Piya’ at 20:30 got 38,500.

Star Life Ok’s ‘Savdhaan India’ was the most watched at 22:30 with an average 44,600 viewers tuning in. ‘Welcome’ at 22:00 got the channel a viewership of 41,900, followed by ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ at 20:00 with 34,800.

On Zing, ‘Cloud 9’ disappointed with a zero rating at 10:30 and 16:30. The 18:30 show got an average 600 viewers, while the 22:30 telecast was watched by 1,200 – peaking at 3,700. The ‘World Of Bollywood’ magazine show at 18:00 was watched by 9,700.
