'Pyar Ka Dard Hai...' tops UK ratings

Star Plus’ ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ returned to the top of the UK ratings last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The show pulled in 157,200 viewers – peaking at 182,800 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Saathiya’ with 118,600 viewers and ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 112,400 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Veera’ (90,700), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (83,700), ‘Meri Bhabhi’ (82,900), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (79,600), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (65,600) and ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (32,100).

On Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ led the ratings with 96,600 viewers, followed by ‘Bairi Piya’ with 59,400 viewers and ‘Jeevan Saathi’ with 55,700 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ continued its good run with 27,300 viewers, followed by ‘Do Dil Ek Jaan’ with 7,800 viewers and ‘Amrit Manthan’ with 2,800 viewers. ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ in Hindi attracted 1,000 viewers at 14:00 and a further 1,100 viewers tuned in for the English episode at 18:00.

On Zing, movie ‘Judaai’ starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi got 24,100 viewers, followed by ‘Bollywood Now’ at 17:00 attracting 12,300 viewers and ‘Bollywood Life’ at 22:00 getting 7,200 viewers. New show ‘Grinds My Teeth’ rated zero at 19:30.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ was on top of the ratings with 35,000 viewers, followed by ‘BaalVeer’ with 29,800 viewers.
