Overnights: ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai…’ remains on top in UK

Star Plus’ hugely successful show ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara’ has once again topped the UK Asian TV ratings, according to last night’s figured obtained by BizAsia from Attentional.

The 22:00 show attracted 227,300 – peaking at 281,600. Its average audience share at that time was 1.17 per cent, more than any other UK Asian TV show on Tuesday.

In second place was ‘Veera’ at 22:30 with 187,400 – peaking at 223,500, followed by ‘Kaali Ek PunarAvtar’ with 175,900 at 20:00. The soon to go off-air drama ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ was next with 173,500. ‘Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ with 168,800 was in fifth place, then ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 161,100. The bottom two were ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 155,000 and ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 154,600.

On Zing, locally produced drama ‘Cloud 9’ fetched an audience of 9,700 at 18:30, however, the 10:30, 16:30 and 22:30 episodes rated zero. The channel’s crowd puller was ‘World Of Bollywood’ at 18:00 with 18,400 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 attracted 38,000 remaining on top for the channel. This was followed by ‘2612’ with 36,300 at 21:00. In third was ‘Amrit Manthan’ at 20:30 with 26,600.

UMP Movies’ ‘Swades’ starring Shah Rukh Khan last night at 21:00 attracted 7,600 viewers – peaking at 33,800.
