The top spot was a close fight between ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ and ‘SaraswatiChandra’ in last night’s ratings in the UK, with the former having a slight edge over its rival.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ attracted 190,500 viewers at 22:00 – peaking at 216,100 viewers, whilst closely behind in second was ‘SaraswatiChandra’ with 189,600 viewers and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ in third with 174,400 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Saathiya’ (155,800), ‘Meri Bhabhi’ (135,900), ‘Veera’ (133,400), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (116,400), ‘EK Ghar Banaunga’ (113,900) and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (107,300).

On Star Life Ok, the latest Hindi episode of re-run show ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ topped the channel’s ratings yesterday with 26,100 viewers (English dubbed at 18:00 got 4,100), followed by the re-run of ‘Geet’ with 21,200 viewers. Meanwhile, the Maha Episode of ‘Do Dil Ek Jaan’ at 21:00 got 20,600 viewers and ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 getting 20,000 viewers. ‘Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai’ Maha Episode got 3,500 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Bigg Boss 4’ (re-run) returned to the top of the channel’s ratings with 52,300 viewers, followed by ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ with 45,000 viewers and ‘Jeevan Saathi’ getting 41,700 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ yesterday at 15:00 got 10,100 viewers, followed by ‘Bollywood Business’ got 3,400 viewers and the original episode at 18:30 getting 1,400 viewers. New show ‘Grinds My Teeth’ at 19:30 and 22:30 rated zero.
