Overnights: PTC Punjabi tops New Year’s Day; other channels disappoint

Most UK Asian TV channels disappointed in ratings on New Year’s Day, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

PTC Punjabi made a surprise return to No.1 with a share of 0.09%, beating rival channels Utsav Plus with 0.07%, Sony TV and Colors with 0.05%. ZEE Cinema impressed with 0.06%.

Shabad Gurbani on PTC Punjabi at 16:00 proved a ratings success with around 30,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, ZEE Cinema did well with the telecast of classic movie ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ at 21:00 bringing in 19,400 viewers.
