Overnights: PTC Punjabi surges to No.1 on Tuesday in UK

PTC Punjabi was the biggest Asian TV broadcaster on Tuesday, leaving other major rivals well behind, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

PTC Punjabi delivered a share of 0.17%, followed by Star Plus, Sony TV and New Vision TV with 0.07%, Hum TV with 0.06%, Colors and Colors Rishtey with 0.05%, Sony MAX, Samaa TV and Geo News with 0.03%, Star Gold, B4U Music, Aaj Tak and Colors Cineplex with 0.02%, Geo TV, Star Bharat, NDTV 24×7, Republic Bharat and ZEE Cinema with 0.01%. ZEE TV slumped to a zero share.

PTC Punjabi’s strongest time band was 15:00 – 18:00, which includes Shabad Gurbani from the Golden Temple, Amritsar. It was watched by 39,600 viewers. Earlier at midday, the channel’s afternoon movie fetched 30,300 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ topped ratings with 28,500 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Anupamaa’ at 20:00 with 25,900 viewers, ‘Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka’ at 22:00 with 23,700 viewers, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 17,600 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 19:00 with 16,300 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ at 19:30 with 15,800 viewers, ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ at 20:30 with 15,100 viewers and ‘Lockdown Ki Love Story’ at 18:30 with 9,500 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Crime Patrol’ was watched by 44,000 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ at 20:45 with 33,300 viewers and ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:30 with 15,000 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Udaari’ at 16:00 delivered 20,800 viewers, followed by ‘Mujhse Kia Bhool Hui’ at 15:00 with 15,200 viewers and ‘Kashf’ at 17:00 with 9,800 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ led with 19,400 viewers at 19:30.

On Colors Rishtey, ‘Tum Kaun Piya’ was watched by 23,200 viewers at 18:00.

On ZEE TV, ‘Jodha Akbar’ was top show with 1,800 viewers at 19:30.
