It was a closely fought war in UK ratings on Sunday, with PTC Punjabi taking a slight lead over Sony Entertainment Television, Star Gold and Star Plus, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
PTC Punjabi won the share with 0.15%, followed by Sony TV and Star Gold with 0.13%, Star Plus with 0.12%, Colors with 0.07%, Hum TV with 0.06%, NDTV 24×7 with 0.05%, ZEE Cinema with 0.03%, ZEE TV and Geo TV with 0.02%.
Sony TV’s biggest attractions on Sunday were ‘Superstar Singer’ at 20:00 with 51,500 viewers, followed by ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ at 21:30 with 41,200 viewers.
On Star Gold, India v South Africa cricket won 56,900 viewers from 14:00.
On Star Plus, ‘Nach Baliye 9’ was the biggest attraction with a whopping 96,600 viewers – making it the biggest show of Sunday across all Asian TV networks.
On Colors, ‘Desi Beat’ at 19:30 grabbed a record 53,000 viewers – the biggest ever audience for a UK recorded show.
On Hum TV, ‘Shankaht’ was watched by 21,900 viewers.
