Overnights: PTC Punjabi & Sony SAB TV lead on Friday in UK

PTC Punjabi and Sony SAB TV clinched the No.1 position in UK ratings for the first time on Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

After a good few months, PTC Punjabi led UK ratings on Friday, sharing it for the first time with Sony SAB TV – both grabbed a share of 0.13%, followed by Star Plus and BritAsia TV together with 0.09%, ZEE TV and Colors with 0.06%, Sony TV with 0.05%, Sony MAX, New Vision TV and Colors Rishtey with 0.04%, Hum TV and NDTV 24×7 with 0.03%, ZEE Cinema, Republic Bharat and Aaj Tak with 0.02% and Geo TV and Star Gold with 0.01%.

PTC Punjabi’s afternoon band (Gurbani from Golden Temple) was the strongest on Friday with an audience of 26,500 viewers tuning in between 15:00 – 18:00. The channel also performed highly between 18:00 – 21:00 with 24,400 viewers tuning in.

Sony SAB TV performed strongly on the back of two films ‘3 Idiots’ (pictured) at 21:15 with 31,600 viewers and ‘Kudrat’ at 11:45 with 13,100 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ was top show with 54,300 viewers at 21:30, followed by ‘Anupamaa’ at 20:00 with 38,600 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ at 19:30 with 35,400 viewers, ‘Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka’ at 22:00 with 30,100 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 19:00 with 19,000 viewers, ‘Mahabharat’ at 18:00 with 12,700 viewers and ‘Geet’ at 10:30 with 11,300 viewers.

On BritAsia TV, ‘Big Names Massive Hits’ at 15:30 was watched by 52,100 viewers and ‘Anthems’ at 23:00 with 31,100 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega’ at 18:30 led with 16,000 viewers, followed by ‘Ek The Power Of One’ at 15:00 with 13,100 viewers and ‘Mann’ at 22:30 with 7,900 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ raked in 36,000 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 21:30 with 33,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Shubharambh’ delivered 19,200 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 15,500 viewers and ‘Ishq Mein Marjawan’ repeat at 00:30 with 12,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Zebaish’ led with 22,600 viewers at 20:00.
