Overnights: PTC Punjabi rocks to No.1 spot on Thursday in UK

PTC Punjabi overtook Star Plus and Sony Entertainment Television on Thursday in UK ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The popular Punjabi channel fetched a whopping share of 0.17%, leaving Star Plus in second with 0.12% and Sony TV and New Vision TV in third with 0.10%. Others in the pecking order were Hum TV with 0.07%, Geo TV and Colors Rishtey with 0.04%, ZEE TV, NDTV 24×7, ZEE Cinema, Star Bharat and Star Gold with 0.03%, ARY Family with 0.02% and Colors with 0.01%.

PTC Punjabi performed strongly between 12:00 and 15:00 with reality series ‘Mr Punjab’, along with its music based shows doing well. The channel’s Shabad Gurbani from Amritsar at 16:00 also registered decent numbers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ was top show with 55,200 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 43,600 viewers, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 37,900 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 33,900 viewers, ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ at 20:00 with 28,600 viewers, ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ at 19:00 with 26,800 viewers, ‘Ek Bhram’ at 18:30 with 19,100 viewers, ‘Nazar’ at 22:30 with 10,400 viewers and ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 22:00 with 8,100 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Ladies Special’ attracted 49,100 viewers at 21:45, followed by ‘Crime Patrol’ at 22:30 with 36,700 viewers, ‘Patiala Babes’ at 21:00 with 33,700 viewers and ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:00 with 27,000 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Pakeeza’ led with 17,800 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Malaal-e-Yaar’ at 22:00 with 11,900 viewers and ‘Soya Mera Naseeb’ at 14:30 with 11,800 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Mera Rab Waris’ topped ratings with 20:00 with 21,000 viewers.

On ARY Family, ‘Gul-o-Gulzar’ at 20:00 was watched by 12,400 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Man Mohini’ at 22:00 attracted 13,300 viewers.
