Overnights: PTC Punjabi beats all rivals to clinch No.1 on Tuesday in UK

PTC Punjabi overtook all Asian TV rivals on Tuesday, in a surprise surge in its share, while there was a three-way fight at No.2, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

PTC Punjabi was on a ratings high with an impressive 20,000 viewers tuning in average between 12:00 – 18:00. The channel’s ratings in the UK have been climbing up the popularity charts over the past few days.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ topped ratings with 43,400 viewers at 18:30, followed by ‘Gustakh Dil’ re-run at 15:30 with 36,700 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 35,400 viewers, ‘Karn Sangini’ repeat at 16:00 with 28,700 viewers, ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ at 19:00 with 27,000 viewers, ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 18:00 with 21,300 viewers, ‘Ishqbaaz’ at 20:00 with 17,000 viewers and ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 13,000 viewers. ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ fell to 3,200 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Patiala Babes’ was the UK’s top show with 51,600 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Ladies Special’ at 21:30 with 37,000 viewers and ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:00 with 29,700 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Mere Humdum’ at 20:00 led with 33,900 viewers, followed by ‘Sanwari’ at 19:30 with 28,600 viewers and ‘Log Kia Kahenge’ at 19:00 with 28,100 viewers.

On Star Bharat, ‘Jiji Maa’ ruled at 19:30 with 17,200 viewers, followed by ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ repeat at 10:30 with 10,300 viewers and ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ original telecast at 20:30 with 9,500 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Kamzarf’ was top with 12,900 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Ay Dil Tu Bata’ at 19:30 with 10,700 viewers and ‘Kamzarf’ at 20:00 with 10,200 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Rajaa Betaa’ led with 8,700 viewers at 18:00, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ repeat at 16:00 with 7,400 viewers and ‘Ye Teri Galiyaan’ at 19:30 with 7,000 viewers. The channel’s new afternoon offerings was led by ‘Aur Pyar Ho Gaya’ at 13:30 with 5,500 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Silsila’ topped ratings with 15,800 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Kesari Nandan’ at 20:30 with 12,100 viewers and ‘Gathbandhan’ at 21:00 with 8,000 viewers.

Colors and ZEE TV garnered a share of 0.02%, putting them below the rest of other major Asian TV broadcasters.
