Overnights: PSL 2019 launch puts Hum Masala at No.1 on Thursday in UK

The first day coverage of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) put broadcaster Hum Masala on top of UK ratings on Thursday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The channel witnessed a surge in ratings between 16:00 – 21:30 when the opening day ceremony and Islamabad and Lahore’s match was played. It brought in over 30,000 viewers during the duration of the match, with audience peaking to 54,300 viewers. The match was won by title-holders Islamabad.

Hum Masala was joint No.1 with Star Plus, both of which garnered a share of 0.10%. Star Plus’ biggest attractions on Thursday were ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 57,400 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 18:30 with 44,300 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 34,100 viewers, ‘Ishqbaaz’ at 20:00 with 31,100 viewers, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 27,800 viewers, ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 18:00 with 16,400 viewers and ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ at 19:00 with 11,100 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Crime Patrol’ stayed top with 46,100 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Ladies Special’ at 22:00 with 32,800 viewers and ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:00 with 27,600 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Ay Dil Tu Bata’ led with 19,400 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Ay Dil Tu Bata’ at 19:00 with 16,200 viewers and ‘Mera Ghar Aur Ghardari’ at 21:00 with 8,600 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Mere Khuwab Reza Reza’ led with 25,600 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Aangan’ at 20:00 with 11,500 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Tujhse Hai Raabta’ delivered 23,000 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘Aur Pyar Ho Gaya’ at 13:30 with 12,600 viewers and ‘Kundali Bhagya’ at 20:30 with 5,000 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Silsila’ was watched by 15,400 viewers at 22:00, followed by ‘Sitaara’ at 23:00 with 6,900 viewers and ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ at 22:30 with 4,700 viewers.
