Overnights: PSL 2019 final shoots Hum TV to No.1 with record figures

The finale of the Pakistan Super League 2019 on Sunday, gave Hum Masala its biggest ever ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The match saw Quetta Gladiators beat Peshawar Zalmi in a thrilling final, with a huge 65,700 viewers tuning in at 15:00 – peaking at 95,700 viewers during the final minutes of the match. The post-match coverage at 18:30 registered 64,400 viewers.

This was the first time Hum Masala exclusively broadcast the tournament in the UK. Prior to this, the broadcaster had shared the rights with other channels. Hum Masala’s share on Sunday rocked to a record 0.22%, which was more than double than its nearest rival, Star Plus, Sony Entertainment Television and PTC Punjabi – all of which delivered a share of 0.08%. B4U Movies’ share was at 0.06%. Hum TV, New Vision TV, Geo News and Venus TV raked in a share of 0.04%. ZEE TV and Colors attracted a share of 0.03%.
