Overnights: PSL 2016 keeps Prime TV high on Friday

Prime TV had a good second-day run in UK ratings, owing to the success of the Pakistan Super League 2016, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The two matches broadcast yesterday averaged with 20,000 viewers each. The first game between Karachi and Lahore at 11:00 delivered 24,400 viewers – peaking at 43,800 viewers, while the second match between Peshawar and Islamabad at 16:00 registered with 20,200 viewers peaking at 44,000 viewers. The weekend ratings are expected to touch new heights for Prime TV.

‘Saathiya’ topped ratings on Star Plus at 19:00 with 163,600 viewers, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 141,700 viewers and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 131,900 viewers. ‘Mere Angne Mein’ at 17:30 registered 117,300 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Swaragini’ led at 21:00 with 40,800 viewers, followed by ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 20,900 viewers and new fiction ‘Krishnadasi’ getting its biggest audience so far with 10,500 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Thapki’ slid to just 27,500 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Meri Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 19,100 viewers and ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 with 15,500 viewers.

On &TV, ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ at 21:00 delivered 13,900 viewers, followed by ‘Gangaa’ at 20:00 with 12,700 viewers and ‘Adhuri Kahani Hamari’ at 21:30 with 6,400 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Sehra Main Safar’ at 21:00 registered 45,500 viewers, followed by ‘Maan’ at 20:00 with 30,800 viewers and ‘Ishq-e-Benaam’ at 19:30 with 28,600 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Tera Mera Rishta’ at 20:00 attracted 21,600 viewers, followed by ‘Asia’s Singing Superstar’ at 21:00 pulled in 10,400 viewers and ‘Maikay Ko Dey Do Sandesh’ at 19:30 with 3,300 viewers.
