Overnights: Prime TV & Hum Masala break records on Monday in UK

The ongoing Pakistan Super League is paying dividends for UK broadcasters, Prime TV and Hum Masala, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Both channels surged in UK ratings on Monday with their best ever figures. Prime TV was slightly ahead with a share of 0.13%, compared to Hum Masala’s 0.12% share. Prime TV’s audience peaked at 70,000 viewers during the course of the match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalanders.

Since the start of the tournament last Thursday, the ratings of Prime TV and Hun Masala in UK have been closely watched. Prime TV was the first and only broadcaster of Pakistan Super League in 2016. Since then, rival Pakistani channels have jumped on board to compete with Prime TV. With the way things stand, Prime TV has been the preferred broadcaster but Hum Masala is not giving up without a fight.

In other ratings for Monday, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ kept Star Plus at No.1 with a share of 0.21%. New comedy ‘Har Shaakh Par Ullu Baitha Hai’ at 20:00 opened up with 49,900 viewers.

ZEE Cinema and Star Gold also grabbed a large chunk of the share pie with 0.09% and 0.08% respectively.
