Overnights: ‘PKDH’ zooms ahead of rivals in UK

The popularity of ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ touched another high last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The 22:00 drama attracted the biggest viewership for an Asian show in the UK last night with 252,700 viewers tuning in to see the latest twists in Aditya and Pankhuri’s love story. The show peaked at 277,500.

The 22:30 show ‘Veer’ benefited from the audience high of ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’, which pulled in 211,600 viewers. In third was ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 attracting 208,100 viewers.

The others were ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (194,900), ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (193,500), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (177,900), ‘Kaali EK PunarAvtar’ (173,200) and ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ (159,400).

The latest action in ‘Welcome’ on Star Life Ok made it the most watched show last night on the channel with 30,400. Closely behind was ‘2612’ at 21:00 with 30,300 viewers. ‘Junoon’ at 21:30 got 29,900 viewers. New show ‘Savitri’ was up to 15,800 viewers.

On Zing, ‘Cloud 9′ was up to 4,000 viewers in the 22:30 slot last night. The 10:30, 16:30 and 18:30 slots were all zero rated.’World Of Bollywood’ at 18:00 got 14,800 viewers, making it the most watched show on the channel.
