Overnights: ‘Pinjara Khubsurti Ka’ opens bigger than ‘Shaadi Mubarak’

Star Plus launched its latest series ‘Shaadi Mubarak’, which marked the return of Rajshree Thakur on Monday night, competing with the launch of ‘Pinjara Khubsurti Ka’ on Colors, BizAsiaLive.com looks at the UK numbers.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com, the premiere night for both shows put the Colors fiction ‘Pinjara Khubsurti Ka’ ahead of ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ on Star Plus. Interestingly, the latter had an upper hand being placed at 20:30 (in UK) but had much more stronger competition during that slot from rivals.

In overnight figures published exclusively here, ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ at 20:30 opened up with 9,000 viewers, compared to double the audience ‘Pinjara Khubsurti Ka’ fetched at 22:00 with 17,200 viewers.

It will be interesting how the two shows perform in the coming days. ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ based on a married couple has high expectations due to its lead cast. Similarly, ‘Pinjara Khubsurti Ka’ is tapping again in the thriller genre – whether it clicks with audiences, is another question.
