Overnights: ‘Phillauri’ smashes ratings for Star Gold UK

The UK television premiere of ‘Phillauri’ proved a smash-hit for Star Gold on Saturday night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The ghost-comedy starring Diljit Dosanjh, Anushka Sharma and Suraj Sharma, was watched by an average 55,300 viewers at 21:00 – peaking at 76,400 viewers. ‘Phillauri’ has emerged as one of the biggest movie premieres on UK television so far this year. The ratings of the film are expected to go up higher after consolidated figures are release in seven days time.

‘Kaabil’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam, which also aired on Star Gold earlier this year, remains the biggest draw with over 100k viewers when it was broadcast on the channel.
