Overnights: ‘Padmaavat’ puts Rishtey Cineplex at No.1 on Sunday in UK

The World Television Premiere of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s blockbuster ‘Padmaavat’ put Rishtey Cineplex at No.1 in UK ratings on Sunday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

‘Padmaavat’ was screened twice on Rishtey Cineplex with 44,700 viewers tuning in at 18:00. The film’s earlier telecast at 13:00 pulled in a further 13,000 viewers. The channel’s telecast of film ‘Vicky Donor’ at 21:30, raked in 13,400 viewers.

As well as dominating the entire UK ratings on Sunday, Rishtey Cineplex was also well ahead of its rival movie channels with Star Gold taking second place with 0.07%. ‘Baaghi 2’ at 18:30 on Star Gold was watched by 22,200 viewers. ZEE Cinema was next with 0.04%, followed by Sony MAX and B4U Movies with a share of 0.02%.
