Overnights: Over 100k viewers watch PSL 2020 final on Hum Masala in UK

The final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday proved a ratings success for Hum Masala in the UK, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

Hum Masala delivered a share of 0.17%, followed by Sony TV with 0.15%, Star Plus with 0.14%, Colors with 0.10%, PTC Punjabi with 0.07%, ZEE Cinema and Colors Rishtey with 0.04%, ARY Digital, BritAsia TV, Colors Cineplex and Hum TV with 0.03%, Star Bharat and Geo News with 0.02%, ZEE TV and Geo TV raked in a share of 0.01%.

The final of PSL 2020, which was won by Karachi Kings, delivered a whopping 57,600 viewers at 15:00 – peaking at 112,700 viewers. It gave UK broadcaster, Hum Masala a share of 0.17% – making it the No.1 Asian TV broadcaster.

Sony TV’s top attractions were ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ at 21:00 with Mohita Sharma being crowned the second crorepati of the series. The show was watched by 99,400 viewers – peaking at 127,000 viewers. It was one of the most watched episodes of the current series. ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ pulled in 55,300 viewers at 22:30, followed by ‘Indiawaali Ma’ at 20:30 with 33,200 viewers and ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:30 with 11,100 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Anupamaa’ was top show with 71,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ at 20:30 with 35,200 viewers, ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ at 19:30 with 15,500 viewers, ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein’ at 21:00 with 9,000 viewers, ‘Imlie’ at 22:30 with 6,100 viewers, ‘Saathiya 2’ at 19:00 with 5,800 viewers, ‘Lockdown Ki Love Story’ at 22:00 with 5,600 viewers and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 4,600 viewers. Earlier daytime shows did well on the channel with ‘Sanjeev Kapoor’s Kitchen’ at 12:00 with 36,100 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 14’ was watched by 35,600 viewers at 21:30, followed by the repeat of the show at 16:30 with 32,200 viewers, ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ at 28,500 viewers and ‘Shakti’ at 20:00 with 18,100 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Bhool Ja Aye Dil’ at 19:00 led with 17,600 viewers, followed by ‘Mohabbatain Chahatain’ at 20:00 with 10,300 viewers.

On ARY Digital, ‘Bharaas’ was top show with 32,200 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Jalan’ at 21:00 with 10,200 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ led with 8,800 viewers at 17:30.
