Popular Bangladeshi entertainment and news channel, NTV joined BARB last week and has proved a success going by first week ratings, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
NTV, which became the second Bengali channel to join BARB after ATN Bangla, got off to a promising start. The channel started reporting official viewing data on Wednesday 1st November. The channel’s share has averaged at 0.01% since it launched. Ratings for the channel on Friday 3rd November, climbed to a share of 0.2% and remained static at 0.2% in latest figures for Monday 6th November.
With Bangla TV abruptly exiting the UK market again last week and new players like iON TV competing with existing players, NTV is hoping to jump to the top of the Bengali TV genre.
