Overnights: No stopping ‘Satyamev Jayate’ success

The second episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ proved too big for other shows to compete with after it delivered the biggest ratings on UK Asian TV yesterday.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ was watched by 91,600 viewers between 11:00 and 12:30 – peaking to 120,200 viewers. The repeat episode at 18:00 pulled in a further 19,800 viewers. The launch episode last week attracted 108,400 viewers – losing just 17,000 viewers since the first episode.

Rival shows proved no match for the Aamir Khan presented show. ‘Mad In India’, which also airs on Star Plus pulled in 73,400 viewers, while ‘Ishq Kills’ was next with 39,800 viewers. ‘Koffee With Karan’ featuring Freida Pinto and Nargis Fakhri could only rake in 31,300 viewers – the lowest viewership for this series.

On Colors, ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ pulled in 44,900 viewers. Film ‘Chashme Badoor’ at 19:00 managed to deliver 18,400 viewers.
