News18 India beat rival channels in ratings for the final two hours coverage of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s addressing at Wembley Stadium, London.

The channel, which uses pictures from CNN-IBN India, was watched by an impressive 28,300 viewers between 17:00 – 18:30 during British Prime Minister, David Cameron and Modi’s speeches. Its coverage peaked at 35,900 viewers. Aaj Tak was in second place during the same slot with 13,500 viewers and NDTV 24×7 just behind with 13,300 viewers. ABP News rated zero. Newly launched, Times Now, is currently not BARB measured.

While, the coverage of ‘Modi At Wembley’ started on most news channels from around 13:00 (GMT), it was at around 17:00 viewers switched over to witness the historic moment. It started with Cameron greeting the crowd of 60,000 that had packed out the stadium. In his opening speech, Cameron said, “They said Acche Din Aane Waale Hai, under Modi Acche Din Zaroor Ayenge (Under PM Modi, good times will come).”

In all-day ratings, NDTV 24×7 had the biggest average with 4,200 viewers tuning in between 06:00 – midnight. News18 India was in second with 3,900 viewers, followed by Aaj Tak with 3,000 viewers and ABP News with just 1,000 viewers.
