New Vision TV surprised the industry with a humongous surge in UK ratings on Thursday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
New Vision TV delivered one of its biggest ever share numbers, as well as the largest share for an Asian TV channel during the current UK lockdown. With a whopping 0.22% share, New Vision TV trounced rivals. It was followed behind by leading entertainment channel, Sony Entertainment Television with 0.11%, Star Plus and Sony SAB TV with 0.08%, Geo TV with 0.05%, Hum TV, ZEE Cinema, B4U Movies and Sony MAX 2 with 0.04%, ZEE TV, Colors Rishtey, Dunya News and Sony MAX with 0.03%, Star Gold, Star Bharat, PTC Punjabi, NDTV 24×7, Venus TV, Geo News and Colors with 0.02%.
New Vision TV benefited from the start of Ramadan, with ‘Headline News’ at 21:00 being watched by 60,800 viewers, followed by ‘Headline News’ at 15:00 with 57,100 viewers, ‘News’ at 13:05 with 49,600 viewers, ‘Sports Room’ at 13:30 with 48,700 viewers, ‘Bakhabhar Savera’ at 15:05 with 44,200 viewers and ‘News’ at 20:05 with 41,100 viewers.
On Sony TV, ‘Crime Patrol’ continued to lead at 22:00, 00:00 and 23:00 with 28,100 viewers, 27,200 viewers and 26,500 viewers respectively. ‘Crime Patrol’ at 14:30 pulled in 21,700 viewers and ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ at 21:30 with 19,500 viewers.
On Star Plus, ‘Radhakrishn’ delivered 26,100 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Mahabharat’ at 18:00 with 25,900 viewers, ‘Radhakrishn’ at 19:00 with 25,600 viewers and ‘Maharaj Ki Jai Ho’ at 20:00 with 25,400 viewers.
On Sony SAB TV, movie ‘Pyar Ke Do Pal’ led with 17,900 viewers at 11:15, followed by ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ at 10:45 with 16,900 viewers and the 10:15 episode of the comedy fetching 13,300 viewers.
On Geo TV, ‘Kahin Deep Jalay’ pulled in 22,500 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Khoobseerat’ at 21:00 with 16,800 viewers and ‘Makafat’ at 19:00 with 14,200 viewers.
On Hum TV, ‘Sang-e-Mar Mar’ raked in 21,500 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Pyar Ke Sadqay’ at 20:00 with 18,300 viewers.
On ZEE TV, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ topped ratings with 17,200 viewers at 14:30, followed by ‘Baarish’ at 20:30 with 11,500 viewers, ‘Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat’ at 19:30 with 9,800 viewers and ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain’ at 21:00 with 7,200 viewers.
On Colors Rishtey, ‘Dharam Thi Gujarati’ was watched by 20,200 viewers, followed by ‘Rasoi Show’ at 16:30 with 14,500 viewers and ‘Balika Vadhu’ at 21:00 with 4,500 viewers.
On Colors, ‘Shubharambh’ led with 11,600 viewers at 20:30, followed by ‘Naati Pinky’ at 21:00 with 9,200 viewers.
