Overnights: New Vision TV, Geo News & Samaa TV break records on Election Day
New Vision TV (ARY News) delivered its biggest ever ratings on Wednesday, which in Pakistan was Election Day, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .
Imran Khan, who has claimed victory in the elections amid vote rigging allegations, gave New Vision TV its best ever viewing figures in the UK – beating all other Asian TV channels including Star Plus. The channel delivered a whopping share of 0.24%. Its coverage between 20:00 and 23:00 averaged with around 40,000 viewers – more than some of the Asian TV giants.
Geo News also impressed with a huge share. The channel clocked up a share of 0.16%. Its Election Transmission at 21:15 averaged with 55,300 viewers. Overall, the channel posted its biggest ratings ever.
Samaa TV also fetched a share high of 0.08%, followed by Dunya News with 0.04% and UK 44 with 0.01%.
