Overnights: NDTV 24×7 tops news genre in UK with ‘Chandrayaan 2’ special

NDTV 24×7 emerged as the preferred Indian broadcaster for special coverage of ‘Chandrayaan 2’ on Friday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

The channel’s share shot up to 0.04%, leaving rivals behind with Aaj Tak grabbing a share of 0.02%, ABP News with 0.01% and Republic Bharat with zero share.

In the UK, special coverage on Indian broadcasters commenced around 19:30. NDTV 24×7’s coverage peaked at 22,200 viewers around 21:00 when news of signal with Chandrayaan being lost broke. It happened minutes before its Vikram module was due to touch down at the lunar south pole.
