Overnights: ‘Mrs Pammi Pyarelal’ tops Colors UK

As Colors’ UK ratings gather pace, reality TV shows are taking a step back, with fictions now proving to be a popular draw on the channel.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, Colors UK has so far seen big ratings with shows like ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, ‘Bigg Boss 7’ and ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’, last night, however saw ‘Mrs Pammi Pyarelal’ take the lead. The primetime drama, which is rumoured to be going off-air next month, pulled in 47,300 viewers at 19:00 – peaking at 70,200 viewers. In second place was ‘Uttaran’ (repeat) at 18:30 with 35,900 viewers and ‘Bigg Boss 7’ with 22,200 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ led the ratings overall in the UK with 182,300 viewers, followed by ‘Meri Bhabhi’ with 178,200 viewers and ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ with 147,800 viewers in third.

The others in the pecking order were ‘SaraswatiChandra’ (131,000), ‘Mahabharat’ (129,400), ‘Veera’ (111,100), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (109,400), ‘Saathiya’ (108,700), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (95,200) and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2’ (25,900).

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was back on top of the ratings with 17,400 viewers, followed by ‘Gustakh Dil’ and ‘Crazy Stupid Ishq’ with 12,100 viewers each and ‘Ek Boond Ishq’ will 8,300 viewers. ‘Geet’ re-run got 7,000 viewers and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ re-run got zero at 14:00 in Hindi and 4,200 viewers for the English dubbed at 18:00.

On Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ was top with 87,600 viewers, followed by ‘Parichay’ with 50,100 viewers and ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagaan’ with 49,400 viewers.
