Overnights: Movies put ZEE TV at No.2 in UK on Saturday

ZEE TV’s strategy to add back-to-back movies to its weekend schedule during the day, seems to be working a treat, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

The channel’s share shot up to 0.08% with ‘Happy New Year’ at 12:30 performing exceptionally well with 31,400 viewers, followed by ‘Baaghi’ with 9,000 viewers. ‘Out & About’ at 19:00 pulled in 8,100 viewers and ‘Dance India Dance’ at 19:30 mustered in 1,500 viewers.

Star Plus remained the No.1 Asian TV channel with a share of 0.15%. ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ kept the channel high with with 114,800 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’ at 19:00 with 68,300 viewers and ‘Ikyawann’ at 18:30 with 51,100 viewers. New show ‘Khichdi’ opened up with 20,000 viewers.

Colors registered a share of 0.08% with ‘Rising Star India’ doing well. It was watched by 47,900 viewers, followed by ‘Tu Aashiqui’ at 20:30 with 19,000 viewers.

Other channels in the order were Geo TV with 0.04% and Sony Entertainment Television with 0.03%.

Hum TV and Hum Masala’s share registered zero share but this was due to a technical glitch, which resulted in both services temporarily going off-air. The channels returned on-air on Sunday.
